Founding Story

“Toepfer Security, with roots dating back to 1862, has been serving its community for more than 160 years. What began as a nationally esteemed lock and safe company has grown into a premier provider of integrated security systems, serving a diversity of highly respected local, regional, and national clients. My father, Ron Lund Sr., a Korean War Veteran who served in the US Marine Corps, purchased Toepfer from Edwin Toepfer in 1982. I joined my father in 1983 as an installation technician, learned the business from the ground up, and ultimately served as President for 14 years until selling the business to Cobalt in 2024.”

Why Cobalt?
