Founding Story

“The original founders, George Flores and Clark Thompson, started their careers working for Texas Instruments installing security systems and providing executive protection services. That experience led to the founding of Flores Technical Services in 1998. George’s and Clark’s desire to grow the business brought several new faces to the team including myself in 2001. At the time, my primary goal was to diversify our customer base and security-related offerings. It took some time, but many years later we now manage several large school districts, healthcare providers, DOD contractors and semiconductor manufactures across North Texas. Our success was solely due to our team of employees that have dedicated themselves to our customers and each other. We have built an extraordinary culture that I have been fortunate to be a small part of, and our focus on our customers has created lasting relationships that I believe supersedes that of a typical service provider.”

Why Cobalt

“When approached by Cobalt in the summer of 2024 I had zero intention of selling my business. We were in the middle of exceptional growth that was going to carry us well into the future.
